LEPTOSPERMUM S. MARTINII
LEPTOSPERMUM S. MARTINII
Leptospermum ‘S. martinii’ is a bushy, upright, evergreen shrub with narrow, aromatic dark-green leaves, bearing reddish-pink flowers in late spring and early summer. In Ireland it thrives in a warm, sheltered site with well-drained, moderately fertile soil that is preferably acid, and performs best in full sun. Allow space for its eventual size of about 3m tall and 3m wide in 10–20 years; provide protection from severe frost in colder areas.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
