LEPTOSPERMUM S. KIWI

LEPTOSPERMUM S. KIWI

Leptospermum scoparium ‘Kiwi’ (manuka) is an evergreen shrub valued for its fine, aromatic foliage and a profusion of small, five‑petalled flowers in late spring to early summer. Best grown in Ireland in full sun to light shade in a moist but well‑drained, neutral to acidic soil, it appreciates a sheltered position away from cold, drying winds. In suitable conditions it forms a compact, bushy plant to around 2m tall and up to 1.5m wide over time, making a good specimen or addition to mixed borders in milder areas; avoid waterlogged sites.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
