Are you ready to embark on a journey into the world of gardening but don't know where to start? Whether you are green fingered or are a complete novice, our 6 Week Beginner Gardening Course is designed just for you!

How long does it run for?

Your course will run for a 6 week period from the 13th September 2026 - 25th October 2026 starting at 10:00am every Sunday. Dates 13th Sept, 20th Sept, 27th Sept, SKIPPING 4th Oct, 11th Oct, 18th Oct, 25th Oct.  Each class will be 1 hour 30 mins approx. With Plenty of time for Questions. 

Please note the course is outside in our centre for classes so be sure to wear layers if needed, the centre is covered. 

What will you learn?

Week 1: Intro to plant categories and gardening with annuals

Week 2: Gardening with perennials

Week 3: Gardening with shrubs

Week 4: Gardening with trees

Week 5: Garden design and planning your space part 1

Week 6: Garden design and planning your space part 2

Where is it on?

Your course will be taking place in our Event Centre in Windyridge. As with all gardening courses it will take place outdoors so be sure to wrap up well. The entire course will take place under shelter.

How do you sign up?

Simply pay for your course online or in-store. When you arrive on the first day you can give your name at the entrance. No need to bring any receipt or tickets.

Who is teaching the course?

One of our main garden centre staff Roisin will be guiding you over the 6 weeks. Roisin has a background in floristry and garden design. She has spent the last 4 years designing unique gardens and creating incredible one of a kind floral displays for weddings and retail as part of her own business Nettle Design.
