Nymphaea mix P11

Water Lily Nymphaea mix (11cm Pot)

Hardy waterlilies for Irish ponds, this mixed selection of Nymphaea offers classic, summer-flowering aquatics for still water. Deciduous plants with rounded floating leaves, they thrive in full sun and bear elegant blooms held at or just above the water surface, in a range of colours that may include white, pink, red and yellow. Plant into aquatic baskets using heavy loam or specialist aquatic compost and submerge to the appropriate depth for the cultivar in still, fresh water away from splashing fountains. Remove spent flowers and yellowing leaves to keep plants tidy and encourage continued blooming; waterlilies also provide surface shade for fish and help limit light penetration, assisting with algae control.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
