VERBENA rigida 1 Litre
Verbena rigida is a low, spreading, tuberous‑rooted perennial valued for its vivid purple flower clusters held above rough, lance-shaped green foliage from mid-summer into autumn. In Ireland it performs best in full sun and moderately fertile, well-drained soil, making a colourful choice for the front of sunny borders, gravel gardens and containers. Deadhead regularly to prolong the display, and in colder areas mulch the crowns in winter for added protection. Highly attractive to pollinators and reliable in dry, sunny positions once established.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
