Uncinia rubra 'Everflame'

Uncinia rubra 'Everflame' is an evergreen, clump-forming hook-sedge grown for its glossy, arching foliage: bronze-red blades edged with bright red that deliver year-round colour and contrast. Best in sun or light shade and moist but well-drained, moderately fertile soil, it is striking in containers, at the front of borders and among mixed plantings; in colder inland parts of Ireland, provide shelter from severe frost and tidy any weathered leaves in spring; overall growth is average.
