Spirea shirobana 3L
Spiraea japonica ‘Shirobana’ is a compact, deciduous shrub grown for its flat clusters of pink and white summer flowers held over fresh green foliage. In Irish gardens it forms a neat mound around 60–90cm high with a similar ultimate spread, flowering in mid to late summer (typically July to August). For best results, plant in full sun (it will also tolerate light shade) in moist but well‑drained, moderately fertile soil. Its tidy habit and dependable flowering make it a useful choice for mixed borders and low informal hedging.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
