Salvia greggii Mirage Cherry 2L
Salvia greggii Mirage Cherry 2L
Salvia greggii Mirage Cherry is a compact, bushy, semi-evergreen salvia with aromatic foliage and vibrant cherry-red tubular flowers carried from summer into autumn. Well-suited to sunny, sheltered, well-drained sites in Ireland, it makes a cheerful, long-flowering addition to mixed borders and containers, and is valuable for attracting bees and other pollinators. Deadhead to prolong display, and lightly trim in spring to maintain shape. Reaches around 30–60cm in height with a spread of 30–45cm; in colder or very wet winters, provide protection from severe frost and winter wet.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
