PRUNUS SERRULATA TAI-HAKU
PRUNUS SERRULATA TAI-HAKU
Prunus serrulata 'Tai-haku' is a medium-sized, deciduous ornamental cherry valued for its striking spring display. Coppery red-bronze young leaves open with the blossom and soon turn green, forming a broad, spreading crown over time. Showy single white flowers in spring make an excellent specimen for lawns and open borders. Grow in full sun and in moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil; prune only if needed, ideally in summer.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
