Prunus avium Stella - patio / P23

Prunus avium 'Stella' is a self-fertile dessert cherry, valued for its spring display of white blossom and its sweet, dark red cherries that follow in summer. Compact by cherry standards and well-suited to a sunny, sheltered spot, it can be grown in fertile, well-drained soil in the ground or in a large container on the patio. Deciduous with green foliage, it blossoms reliably in spring and benefits from full sun to maximise fruiting.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall).
