Photinia × fraseri 'Red Robin' is a vigorous evergreen shrub or small tree prized for its glossy foliage that flushes bright red before maturing to deep green. As a half-standard with a neat crown, it provides smart, reliable structure for screening, avenues, or a focal point in Irish gardens. Best colour develops in full sun, though it will grow well in light shade, in fertile, moist but well-drained soil. In spring it can produce clusters of small white flowers. Light clipping after flowering or in summer helps maintain a compact crown and encourages fresh red growth; choose a position sheltered from cold, drying winds.

This is a standard tree with a clear stem and a shaped crown above. The tree was grown up to this stem height and then pruned to stop the trunk growing taller. The clear stem will remain at the height you receive it at, with future growth coming from the top of the tree.
