PHLOX 'Candy Stripes'

Phlox ‘Candy Stripes’ (a Phlox subulata cultivar) is a low, carpeting, semi-evergreen perennial loved for its showy pink-and-white striped, starry flowers in spring. Perfect for rockeries, the front of borders, edging and containers with sharp drainage, it forms a neat mat that helps suppress weeds and spill attractively over stones. For best results in Irish gardens, grow in full sun for the heaviest flowering, though light shade is tolerated, in moist but well‑drained to well‑drained, moderately fertile soil. Fully hardy and reliable, it thrives on light, sandy or rocky soils and benefits from avoiding waterlogged winter conditions.
