Phlox paniculata 'Danielle'
Phlox paniculata 'Danielle'
Phlox paniculata 'Danielle' is an upright, clump-forming herbaceous perennial grown for its generous, fragrant summer flowerheads held on sturdy stems above healthy green foliage. Reliable in full sun or light shade in Ireland, it prefers a fertile, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil. Ideal for mixed and cottage borders and excellent for cutting, it attracts pollinators and rewards regular deadheading. Expect an eventual height of about 60–90cm and a spread of 30–60cm.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
