Persicaria Darjeeling Red
Persicaria Darjeeling Red
Persicaria affinis ‘Darjeeling Red’ is a semi-evergreen, low, mat-forming perennial that makes excellent ground cover, carrying short spikes of pink flowers from summer into autumn. It thrives in full sun or light shade in any moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil, and is ideal for front-of-border edging and rock gardens. Eventual size around 20cm tall by 50cm wide. This reliable selection holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit and is valued by pollinators.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
