Pear Conference

Pyrus communis 'Conference' is a dependable dessert pear for Irish gardens, producing white blossom in spring and cropping best in full sun on fertile, moist but well-drained soil. This deciduous tree is widely grown for its reliable, good-quality pears; it will often set fruit without a pollination partner, though yields are improved with a compatible pear nearby. Grow as a free-standing tree or train against supports (such as cordons or espaliers) to save space and enhance fruiting.
