Lupin WC Rachel de Thame
Lupin WC Rachel de Thame
Lupin WC Rachel de Thame is a clump-forming herbaceous perennial valued for its bold, upright spires of densely packed pea-flowers in early summer, rising above attractive palmate green foliage. Grow in full sun or light shade in moist but well-drained, moderately fertile soil; it prefers neutral to slightly acid conditions and is best kept away from very alkaline or heavy clay ground. Expect flowering stems to reach around 90–120cm in height. Deadhead promptly to encourage further display, and provide discreet support in windy gardens if needed. Ideal for mixed and cottage borders in Ireland and fully hardy.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
