LITHODORA D. HEAVENLY BLUE

LITHODORA D. HEAVENLY BLUE

Lithodora diffusa ‘Heavenly Blue’ is a low, mat-forming evergreen bearing masses of vivid, intense blue starry flowers in late spring and early summer. Ideal for rock gardens, the front of sunny borders, containers, or to spill over walls, it thrives in acid to neutral, moist but sharply drained soils, preferably light and sandy. Best in full sun, though light shade is tolerated. In Irish gardens, ensure excellent drainage, particularly over winter, and lightly trim after flowering to keep a neat carpet. RHS Award of Garden Merit.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
