Leucanthemum (S) 'Madonna'

Leucanthemum (S) 'Madonna'

Leucanthemum (S) ‘Madonna’ is a compact Shasta daisy forming neat clumps of green foliage and producing abundant classic single white daisies with golden eyes through summer. Ideal for sunny borders and informal cottage plantings, it performs best in full sun and in moist but well‑drained, moderately fertile soil. Deadhead spent blooms to extend flowering and divide congested clumps in spring or early autumn to maintain vigour. Fully hardy in Ireland, it dies back in winter and re‑emerges reliably each spring; its open daisies are attractive to pollinators.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
