Kniphofia 'Royal Castle'

Kniphofia 'Royal Castle'

Kniphofia 'Royal Castle' is a clump-forming, semi-evergreen perennial valued for its upright poker-like spikes in fiery orange-red tones through mid to late summer. Best grown in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil, it appreciates a warm, open position and protection from winter wet. Its narrow, strap-like green leaves form a tidy base, while the bold flower spikes add strong vertical accents, making it ideal for architectural highlights in sunny borders and gravel gardens. Deadhead spent stems to keep the clump neat, and divide congested plants in spring to maintain vigour.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
