Hypericum ‘Hidcote’ is a bushy, semi-evergreen shrub valued in Irish gardens for its large, saucer-shaped, golden-yellow flowers with prominent stamens, produced freely from mid to late summer and often into early autumn. Dense mid-green foliage forms a neat mound that suits low hedges, mixed borders and informal edging. It performs reliably in full sun or light shade and in any moderately fertile, well-drained soil (including chalk), and is fully hardy, making it a dependable choice for long-season colour.
