Hydrangea teller Blue

Hydrangea teller Blue

An ever-popular lacecap hydrangea with bright green, serrated leaves and flattened flowerheads. ‘Teller Blue’ bears showy outer florets around small fertile flowers from mid-summer to early autumn; on acidic soils the blooms are blue, tending towards pink on more alkaline ground. Leave the dried heads on the plant over winter for decorative effect and frost protection, then prune back to a pair of strong buds in March. Best in partial shade and moist, fertile, well‑drained, humus‑rich soil. Ideal for borders, cottage gardens and courtyard displays, and suitable for cutting. Eventual size about 1.5 × 1.5 m.
