Hydrangea arb. 'Annabelle' 40-50 cm.
Hydrangea arborescens ‘Annabelle’ is a deciduous shrub valued for its showy, rounded heads of white flowers from mid to late summer, held above bold green foliage. Well suited to Irish gardens, it forms a compact, rounded plant around 90–150cm tall with a similar spread, thriving in sun or light shade in a moist, fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil. Excellent as a feature in mixed borders and for seasonal structure and impact; the blooms are also popular for cutting.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
