Hydrangea ar. 'Strong Annabelle'® 30-40 CM C3
Hydrangea arborescens ‘Strong Annabelle’ is a robust, deciduous shrub prized for its very large, rounded white flowerheads carried on sturdy stems from July to September. Reaching around 1.2–1.5m in height and spread, it makes a reliable feature for mixed borders and seasonal structure. It thrives in sun or light shade in Ireland, in moist but well-drained, fertile soil. Prune in late winter or early spring, cutting back to a low framework to encourage strong new shoots and abundant flowering; water well in dry spells while the plant establishes.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
