Hedera helix 'Mint Kolibri' hanging pot

Hedera helix 'Mint Kolibri' hanging pot

Hedera helix ‘Mint Kolibri’ is a compact, variegated ivy with neat green and creamy-white foliage, ideal for trailing from a hanging pot or spilling over the edge of containers. Evergreen and reliable in Irish gardens, it copes with sun or shade and a wide range of soils, provided drainage is good. Use it to soften shelves, balconies and patio planters, or let it ramble gently as groundcover; trim as needed to keep the shape you want. If allowed to mature and flower, ivy provides late nectar for insects and berries for birds. Water containers regularly in dry spells, avoid waterlogging, and feed lightly in spring for the best foliage.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
