GERBERA garvinea Sweet Femmy

GERBERA garvinea Sweet Femmy

Gerbera garvinea Sweet Femmy is a robust garden gerbera bred for long-season display in Irish conditions. Forming a neat rosette of green leaves, it sends up sturdy stems bearing classic daisy-like blooms repeatedly from late spring into autumn. Grow in full sun in fertile, free-draining soil, and deadhead spent flowers to encourage continuous flowering. Ideal for brightening mixed borders and containers, with an eventual clump around 30–45cm high and wide. Protect crowns from winter wet with sharp drainage and a dry mulch; in colder areas, additional winter protection may be beneficial.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
