GERANIUM 'Johnson's Blue'
GERANIUM 'Johnson's Blue'
Geranium 'Johnson's Blue' is a classic hardy cranesbill forming a low, spreading clump of finely divided mid-green leaves, topped in early summer by a profusion of clear blue, saucer-shaped flowers. Reliable and easy in Irish gardens, it thrives in full sun or light shade on moderately fertile, well-drained soil, making an excellent filler at the front of mixed and cottage borders and for underplanting shrubs. Trim back after the first flush of flowers to tidy plants and encourage fresh growth and a light repeat later in the season.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
