ERIGERON karvinskianus

ERIGERON karvinskianus

Erigeron karvinskianus (Mexican fleabane) is a long-flowering, mat-forming, semi-evergreen perennial with a profusion of small daisies that open white and age to pink from late spring into autumn. Thriving in well-drained, poor to moderately fertile soils, it is happiest in sun but copes with light shade, and is excellent for softening walls, paving cracks, steps, rock gardens, the front of borders and containers. Low-maintenance and drought-tolerant once established, it typically reaches about 20–30cm in height and can spread to around 60cm or more; a light trim after the first flush helps prolong the display.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
