Dianthus Scent First Memories

Dianthus Scent First Memories

Dianthus Scent First Memories is a compact, evergreen pink forming neat mounds of slender green foliage, topped in summer with fully double, pure white blooms carrying a rich clove fragrance. Best in full sun and sharply drained, neutral to alkaline soil, it’s ideal for the front of borders, rock gardens and containers in Irish gardens, and the scented flowers are excellent for cutting. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage a longer display and ensure good drainage to protect the crown from winter wet.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
