Dianthus Capitán® Cook 2L

Dianthus Capitán® Cook 2L

Dianthus Capitán® Cook is a compact, sun-loving pink well suited to Ireland’s milder, free-draining gardens. Grow in full sun and well-drained, moderately fertile soil that’s neutral to alkaline (it’s very happy on chalk or sandy ground). Ideal for edging, gravel gardens, rockeries and patio containers where drainage is reliable. Avoid winter wet, especially on heavy soils; incorporate grit or raise the planting area if needed. Lightly trim after flowering to keep plants neat and encourage fresh growth; deadheading helps prolong the display. Best performance comes with plenty of sun and good air circulation.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
