DIANTHUS Arctic Star
DIANTHUS Arctic Star
Dianthus ‘Arctic Star’ is a compact, sun-loving pink valued for its clean white summer blooms and neat, low mounds of foliage. Ideal for the front of sunny borders, edging, containers, and well-drained rock or gravel plantings in Ireland. Grow in full sun and free-draining, moderately fertile soil; light, sandy or chalky conditions suit it well. Avoid winter wet, deadhead to prolong the display, and lightly trim after flowering to keep plants tidy.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
