Delosperma Jewel of Desert P12

Delosperma Jewel of Desert P12

Delosperma Jewel of Desert is a compact, mat-forming, evergreen ice plant valued for its succulent, fleshy green foliage and abundant, daisy-like blooms in the warmer months. Best in full sun with very sharp drainage, it’s ideal for rock and gravel gardens, the front of sunny borders, edging, or containers with gritty compost. Plant in poor to moderately fertile, well-drained, sandy or gritty soil; once established it is drought tolerant. In Irish conditions, winter wet is the main risk, so use raised planting or scree/rockery positions to keep the crown free-draining.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
