Cosmos 'Symphony Carmine'
Cosmos 'Symphony Carmine'
Cosmos 'Symphony Carmine' is a half-hardy annual valued for its carmine-pink, daisy-like blooms with yellow centres held above fine, feathery foliage. Best in full sun and moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil, it flowers over a long season from summer into autumn in Irish gardens; regular deadheading will keep the display going. Ideal for cottage-style borders and cutting, and a good choice for wildlife-friendly plantings where it attracts pollinating insects; plant out only after the last frost and avoid overly rich soils that encourage foliage at the expense of flowers.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
