Cortaderia Selloana

An iconic, clump-forming ornamental grass for bold structure, Cortaderia Selloana makes dense tufts of long, rough-edged green leaves and sends up strong stems topped with large, silky, silvery-white plumes from late summer into autumn. Grow in full sun or light shade in moderately fertile, well-drained soil. Excellent as a specimen or for adding height and movement to mixed borders; the plumes are also ideal for cutting and drying. Ultimate size around 2.5m x 2.5m in time.
