Cordyline aus. Red Star

Cordyline aus. Red Star

Cordyline aus. Red Star is an evergreen, palm-like cordyline prized for its bold, deep red, strap-shaped leaves that provide strong year-round structure in borders or large containers. Grow in full sun to light shade in a warm, sheltered position with moist but well-drained, moderately fertile soil; avoid waterlogging. In mild Irish gardens, especially near the coast, mature plants may produce sprays of small, fragrant white flowers in summer. Protect from severe frost and cold, drying winds, and remove winter-damaged leaves in spring.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
