CIRSIUM riv. Trevors Blue Wonder
An elegant, clump-forming ornamental thistle for Irish gardens, CIRSIUM riv. Trevors Blue Wonder bears upright, branching stems topped with thistle-like purple flowerheads through summer, rising well above a mound of green foliage. Best in full sun and moisture-retentive, moderately fertile soil, it brings strong vertical accents to mixed and naturalistic plantings, and its blooms are highly attractive to pollinators. Deadhead to extend the display, then cut back old stems as growth dies down; fully hardy and reliable in Irish conditions.
