Choisya ternata

Choisya ternata (Mexican orange blossom) is a rounded, evergreen shrub valued for its glossy, aromatic green foliage and clusters of white, sweetly scented, star‑shaped flowers in late spring, with the potential for a light repeat later in the season. In Ireland it performs best in sun or light shade, in a fertile, well‑drained soil, and benefits from shelter from cold, drying winds. Use it as reliable evergreen structure in mixed borders, near paths or seating where the fragrance can be appreciated; trim lightly after flowering to maintain a dense, tidy shape.
