Ceratostigma willmottianum

Ceratostigma willmottianum is a compact, deciduous shrub valued for its vivid blue flowers from late summer into autumn and foliage that often colours red in autumn. Forming a rounded mound around 1–1.5m tall and wide, it thrives in full sun and moderately fertile, well-drained soil in Ireland, providing reliable late-season colour for mixed borders and sunny beds.
