Ceanothus 'Concha' 100 cm.

Ceanothus 'Concha' 100 cm.

Ceanothus ‘Concha’ is a vigorous, evergreen Californian lilac forming a dense, arching shrub with small dark-green leaves, producing abundant deep blue flower clusters in late spring to early summer (typically May–June). It thrives in full sun in a sheltered position with fertile, moist but well-drained soil, and is valued for attracting pollinators. Awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit, it is well suited to sunny, south- or west-facing Irish gardens, including training against a warm wall.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
