CAREX oshimensis Eversheen
Carex oshimensis ‘Eversheen’ is a compact, clump-forming, evergreen sedge valued for its neat, arching leaves with a bright yellow central stripe edged in deep green, bringing year-round colour and fine texture to borders and containers. It performs well in Ireland in light shade or sun, in moist but well-drained, moderately fertile soil; avoid waterlogging. Excellent for edging paths, soft groundcover and mixed planters, it typically reaches around 30–45cm in height and spread over time; simply remove any tired or winter-marked foliage to keep clumps tidy.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
