BRUNNERA mac. 'Sterling Silver'

BRUNNERA mac. 'Sterling Silver'

Brunnera macrophylla ‘Sterling Silver’ is a clump-forming perennial prized for its bright silver, heart-shaped leaves delicately veined in green, bringing long-lasting light to shaded borders. In spring, airy sprays of small blue, forget-me-not-like flowers rise above the foliage. Grow in moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil in partial to full shade; avoid hot afternoon sun and prolonged dryness to prevent leaf scorch. Excellent for woodland-style plantings, underplanting shrubs, or pairing with ferns and hostas; remove spent flower stems and mulch annually to conserve moisture. Reaches around 45cm tall and up to 60cm wide in time.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
