Beaucarnea recurvata Pot 17cm
Beaucarnea recurvata Pot 17cm
Beaucarnea recurvata is a slow-growing, evergreen succulent prized for its swollen, water-storing base and graceful, strap-like green leaves that arch from the crown. It thrives in bright light with some direct sun, in a very free-draining, gritty or cactus compost. Water sparingly, allowing the compost to dry out between waterings, and reduce watering in winter. Tolerant of occasional drought and generally trouble-free, it makes a low-maintenance indoor specimen in Ireland; keep it warm and above about 10°C and avoid overwatering.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
