AMELANCHIER ARBOREA ROBINHILL

AMELANCHIER ARBOREA ROBINHILL

Amelanchier × grandiflora 'Robin Hill' is a small, deciduous ornamental tree valued for abundant spring blossom and dependable seasonal colour. Pink-tinged buds open to pale, starry flowers in spring, followed by small berries that are often taken by birds. Young leaves emerge bronze before turning green in summer, then develop rich red and orange tints in autumn. Forming a slender, upright crown that broadens gently with age, it makes an elegant specimen for gardens. For best results in Irish conditions, plant in moist but well-drained, moderately fertile soil that is neutral to acidic, in full sun or light shade; avoid shallow chalky soils. Prune only lightly after flowering to remove damaged or crossing shoots if needed.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
