Amelanchier arborea Robin Hill C35 HS 10/12

Amelanchier × grandiflora 'Robin Hill' is a graceful, upright small tree admired for its clouds of spring blossom, light canopy and vibrant autumn colour. In mid-spring, pink-flushed buds open to starry, pale pink flowers that quickly fade to white, appearing with the emerging bronze young leaves. These are followed by small berries that are much appreciated by birds, and in autumn the foliage takes on rich orange-red tones. An excellent choice for smaller gardens or as a specimen, it grows best in full sun or light shade in moist, well-drained, moderately fertile, neutral to acid soil. Fully hardy and of moderate growth, it needs little pruning beyond light shaping after flowering if required.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
