Allium Moly

Allium Moly

Allium moly is a compact, bulbous perennial valued for its cheerful clusters of bright yellow, star-shaped flowers in late spring to early summer (May–June). Reaching around 20–30cm tall, it thrives in full sun and well-drained, moderately fertile soil, including chalk, and is ideal for the front of sunny borders, edging and rock gardens, or for naturalising in freely draining ground. Plant bulbs in autumn at roughly three times their own depth, then allow the foliage to die back naturally after flowering; ensure good drainage, especially over winter, to avoid waterlogging.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
