Agapanthus 'Amourette White' 40-60 cm.

Agapanthus 'Amourette White' 40-60 cm.

Agapanthus ‘Amourette White’ is a compact African lily prized for its clean white, rounded flower heads held above neat clumps of strap-like green foliage, bringing bright structure and summer freshness to sunny borders and containers. Best in a warm, sheltered spot with sun for most of the day, it thrives in moist but well-drained, moderately fertile soil and is well suited to coastal gardens. Flowering in mid to late summer, its upright habit lends itself to repeated planting for a calm, formal rhythm through a border. Deadhead spent stems to keep plants tidy and, in colder areas of Ireland or in containers, protect crowns from severe frost. Eventual height and spread are typically within the compact range of 30–60cm.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
