Agapanthus 'Amourette Blue' 40-60 cm.

Agapanthus 'Amourette Blue' 40-60 cm.

Agapanthus ‘Amourette Blue’ is a compact, deciduous African lily forming clumps of slender green leaves and producing sturdy stems topped with rounded umbels of clear blue, trumpet-shaped flowers in mid to late summer. Ideal for sunny borders and containers in Ireland, it thrives in full sun and moist but well-drained, moderately fertile soil. Water and feed regularly in the growing season, deadhead spent blooms to extend flowering, and apply a dry winter mulch in colder areas to protect the crown; containers benefit from a sheltered, sunny position and good drainage.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
