ACHILLEA 'New Vintage Red'
ACHILLEA 'New Vintage Red'
Compact and clump-forming, Achillea ‘New Vintage Red’ is a hardy yarrow valued for its flat-topped clusters of rich red flowers held above finely divided, aromatic green foliage. Flowering through summer, it’s excellent for sunny, well-drained borders and for bringing long seasonal colour while supporting pollinators. In Ireland, plant in full sun and free-draining, moderately fertile soil; it copes well with drier conditions once established. Deadhead spent blooms to prolong the display and cut back after flowering to keep tidy.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
