Acer palmatum 'Garnet' is a deciduous Japanese maple valued for its graceful, cascading, dome-forming habit and finely dissected leaves in rich garnet-red tones. Slow-growing and naturally compact, it’s ideal for small, sheltered gardens and containers, providing elegant structure and long-season foliage interest. For best results in Irish gardens, plant in moist but well-drained, fertile, acid to neutral soil, in sun or light shade, and protect from cold, drying winds to minimise leaf scorch.
