Acer palmatum 'Beni-maiko' 10 Ltr pot
Acer palmatum 'Beni-maiko' 10 Ltr pot
Acer palmatum 'Beni-maiko' is a compact, slow-growing deciduous Japanese maple prized for dramatic seasonal colour. Fresh spring leaves open a vivid red, softening to pinkish-red before turning green in summer, then finishing with bright crimson to scarlet autumn tones. Grow as a sheltered specimen for dependable colour and elegant branching. It does best in light shade or gentle sun out of cold, drying winds, in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil that is acid to neutral; avoid chalky conditions and keep the root zone evenly moist to reduce the risk of leaf scorch.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
