Acer palmatum ‘Tamukeyama’ is a compact, cascading Japanese maple prized for its finely dissected, lace-like foliage. Leaves emerge deep red to purple and hold their colour well through summer before turning vivid crimson in autumn. Best grown in a sheltered spot in sun or light shade, it prefers moist but well‑drained, fertile, humus‑rich, slightly acidic soil and does not thrive on chalk. An elegant choice for containers or a focal point in sheltered borders and Japanese‑style plantings.
